Name a better one

I’ll wait

Theres not one out right now so no one can.

But as far as NATIONAL ranking go... Every poll is better than CP.

MaxPreps Xcellent 25, HSFBA, PrepForce, PrepNation... Even USAToday has a better national Top 25.... Ill say it is better than the USAToday computer poll and thats it.

Show me

lets see your top 25

or would you prefer we trust you

Dude... CP has...

4. Orange Lutheran ... Orange-fucking-Lutheran at 4... My problem with this is there is nothing that says they should be at #4 in the nation outside of blind overscaling. Its RANDOM as hell because this team shouldnt be sniffing the Top 25... Much less #4. The only thing not random, about it is this is CalPreps ranking Southern California teams.

The fact you defend this should tell you a lot. Open your mind and look at what youre doing from another perspective and maybe youll atleast sort of see how foolish you sound and look...

Check out some of this...

4. Orange Lutheran

7. Folsom (lol)

8. Oaks Christian (theres 80 better suited teams CalPreps couldve put here. But it chose a SoCal team to keep,SoCals scale up.

Orange Lutheran and Oaks Christian are in the National Top 8... Open your eyes dude.

You GA guys crack me up

”name one better” and you suggest your local homer and his extreme bias and bad math

I can't say as I've seen you produce anything based on facts and supported by the math to prove it.  PFA - plucked from air (or somewhere else depending on your bent) doesn't cut it but I believe that's what I've seen from some.

This is not CP official pre-season top 25... a good handful of these teams won’t be in the top 25 by the time they release it.

It's still interesting to see and talk about though. Better than some other stuff anyway.

It looks kind of crazy watching how screwy the algorithm can be with numbers and logic put in at certain places and not yet others.

I think it can speak to how easily the system can be screwed with by changing a value here and there. Interesting stuff actually.

Cardinal Gibbons is the best team in FL right now (unless you count IMG as a FL team)

That alone destroys the FL positions in the poll

North Little Rock way too high

Orange Lutheran, Oaks Christian and Folsom all top 10? WTF

Pittsburg at 16 in the nation??

Wekiva is not top 25 in the nation

St Thomas Aquinas at 9??

Geez why not add armwood and Bolles so they can complete the overranked FL preseason trifecta that most polls try to do every year

Dude Calpreps doesn't even have all the rosters and shit yet. Everybody knows it's not good till Oct.

That little rinky dink basement dwelling pumpkin boat races that piece of cow flop called CalPreps seven ways to Sunday without breaking a sweat.

CalPreps is a low standard, tried to be somewhat competitive.

Let me know if more is needed.

Regards

C.A. (Certified Asshole)

Except for our pickem contest where pumpkin has been schooled every year by THE CalPreps!!!

It appears that an unranked Centennial will have to beat at least 6 preseason Top 25 teams this year on their way to the ship! lol

Yeah, it’s laughable.  This poll is a bit skewed at this point.

First of all, that’s your opinion, which is compromised by not even acknowledging it being superior to USAT.  You have credit to some  dry thinly credentialed folks

2nd, considering that it’s an algorithm that isn’t going to follow a human poll, isn’t it incredible that CP normally has about as about the same representation in the comp as the other polls?  Pretty incredible to have 20 of the 25 “comp poll” teams out of 14,000+ randomly (and the missing ones are often a case of CP being the only one right)

then, blow your mind, they do that for almost 15k teams

it’s not a science, but when CP has Etowah outside top 2,000 in same year you say they could very well be a top 100 team, your credibility was shot

Wrong — you can verify my comments

well, maybe not you, but someone from outside the inbreeding zone

So you can verify this crappy poll?

So Folsom is better than De La Salle?

So these FL teams listed are ALL better than cardinal Gibbons?

So orange Lutheran is better than Bishop Gorman?

Why exactly are you spending so much effort to defend this garbage?

Indeed.

No clearer example than Arkansas last year.  High state scale and two schools finish 7th and 14th in the end of year top 25.

It’s a human poll with an algorithm bandaid.  :)   It’s the Ned Freeman poll.  NY and Wisconsin were powerhouses in the past.   He defines the ratings with his state scale parameters.

The PAM for OOS is a novelty tool and won’t matter much as most OOS games will have been played prior to October 1st anyway.  Oct 1 we are into district play w data likely already within district play.  Not a bad starting entry point to predict games.

I can verify how many CP teams are in comp top 25

You appear not worth the effort on further explanations — your post clearly illustrates that you are among the tappers that just want to yap and aren’t capable of thought
