Talked to OLu’s offensive line coach this morning, they’re not going anywhere. Jserra was literally founded to become a sports power and joined the trinity league when they had 100 kids enrolled. The rule is not specific to IMG although they clearly were the poster child for its enactment. The bottom line is that no California high school who is a member of the CIF can participate in any sanctioned game, in any sport, against a ‘high school’ team that is not a member of their own state’s association. It’s really too bad because MD, Bosco and IMG should be playing each other. Over the past 30 years there have been multiple hoops battles between MD and Oak Hill.
