youve already sacrificed DLS to tier 3 to deminstartate that you’re really not CA biased (because you’re really socal/ trinity biased)

They’re same tier as DLS, which is probably two, but three isn’t egregious at this point  (they still could easily get beat by 10+ to a team that just lost 42-0)

We need to see how much the DLS offense improves to warrant Tier 2.  The BG game will be a good barometer for both teams, and for Folsom

Agreed. The playbook was opened this past game against CC. Cc isnt Folsom or BG, but it was much better effort nonetheless (with still room for improvement). 450 yards total. Hale had 210 yards passing with a couple of very nice TD tosses (39 yards and 64).

The Bishop will tell the tale of the tape.

So with your summation above, go ahead and predict the score for a Colquitt Grayson game since Colquitt doesn’t even remotely match up with them

*Not attempting to rank every team, only the ones we discuss on this site.

*Tier placements consider a teams entire body of work, however are weighted heaviest on recent games and game weights decrease in significance in reverse order.  In other words, early road OOS losses to relevant teams can be overcome as the season progresses.

Can we name this "the DLS rule" for future reference?

Nice to see Folsom in tier 1. A bit high I’d say but appreciate the support.

I am still considering their placement. Any suggestions.

By your own criteria, they've got to be 4 or 5 if DLS is 3.

ron's got the idea. See below:

DLS is 3 so somewhere between 4 and 5 sounds about right

That would cause me considerable internal  consternation.  Lol.

But even you shouldn't try to do them dirty this year.

They did what you asked them to do: they scheduled a tough opponent.

Tier 4 or 5? You didn’t think they were as good as DLS? Or did you not watch it?

I am going to have to rank the devil fairly to preserve the integrity of the Tiers.  No joking. (As much as I would luv to mock them further with a Tier 6 status.  LOL.  Will slide them in somewhere next week when Tier 1 is finalized.

In the meantime, any input is appreciated especially on Texas @Horsefly.  Because they have not played yet and we have so little info.  Our motto is "Be a contributor not a hater."

No games have been played yet Sammy, thus the entire Texas team input is invalid at this point.

Give a few weeks and you’ll have better data points.

Tip:  it’s Converse Judson

As good as implies a back and forth game with go ahead score in waning minutes or defensive stand in the waning minutes... or overtime. Failure to sniff the endzone implies not  equal

What's this tier thing? St Louis HI seems a bit high.

The concept is that there is clear separation between high school football teams that are not apparent looking only at W-L records.

For Example.  DJ would rank a 10-0 team (not naming names)  in his Top 100, and not a 5-5 team  which is actually the better team, but played a much tougher schedule.

The Tiers will sort all of that out for the casual viewer.

St. Louis has a legendary coach, and has been a national powerhouse program for a long time.  They gave one of DLS better teams, all they could handle in the early 2000's.  They also gave my team (St. Paul) who was a national powerhouse then, all they could handle too.

Hawaii football is legit, and there are pleny of Samoans on those lines.  There offense is run and gun and fun to watch.

BC lost their star RB McKenzie. (Johnny Stanton rule in effect).  Plus who is getting rewarded for beating St. Mary's from Mizzou?

If there was an agenda, Servite would be Tier 5 and I would not rank the devil.

Not many teams that generate 60 yards total offense and 2 first downs  against a soft public school defense would qualify for Tier 2.
