@thc6795 got canned for constant abusive behavior to me personally after I asked him to stop. He didn't post football anyway. Good riddance. 

@Drummer61 didn't post football either... good riddance.

@Lamarfan didn't either... good riddance.

The toughest ones to ban were @GardenStateBaller @Nolebull813 and @Texasball because at times you all did talk football. Especially Texasball. 

 

You are right though, there is a pattern here.

I don't necessarily disagree with all of this, but we all need to abide by the minimal guidelines here that are being enforced. Especially... Most especially after I have respectfully sent a nice direct message asking nicely and explaining why I'm attempting to enforce said guideline. Even going so far as to ask for their help in keeping stuff on an even keel. The disrespect factor after having done that and seeing the continuation of the disregard for the guideline... I'm done with that shit.

I do disagree to an extent as GSB pumped a criminal enterprise on here for months and as far as I'm concerned helped that guy steal money by giving him a platform to operate and then having any questions about the enterprise removed from the site basically only leaving his pumping and bragging on the school available to the readers and board members. That isn't exactly harmless. 

I'm not playing with racism on here either. Never have and won't ever in the future. It's not harmless either. So I disagree to an extent on a couple of the posters based on that view point as well. 

THC was irrelevant imo as well. He stopped being here for football a couple of years ago. I can't remember the last football post he made. I can remember being told to fuck myself and suck cock by him though. 

TexasBall... yeah. Actually hated banning him, but the bar had been set as I had already started banning folks for neglecting to respect my asking them nicely to refrain from making political jabs on the Varsity Board. I do think he is pretty much harmless. Other than being caught up in my attempts to actively keep right-wing vs. leftwing politics off of the Varsity board, he was certainly harmless and a good poster.

Glad to hear you are more familiar with my browsing habits than I am.  I've gone from multiple visits per day and reading almost every thread to one to three times per week and reading only a few.

I try to model by not cussing or personally attacking someone.  I admit as I said I've gotten drawn in a couple of times but then I tried to stop.  I don't know that modeling changes people here.  People are already emboldened by the nature of the anonymity of the board and while I know some would be the same in person there are many that would not.

Anyway, it will be what it will be.To everything there is a season and maybe the season has passed here.  I hope not.

It’s Lovejoy. My daughter isn’t familiar with it and she is with The University of Tennessee, so the decision was easy. 
 

My wife got her undergrad there and graduated high school from the Christian Academy of Knoxville. 
 

We know what we’re doing.

This is a thing as well. People have issue compartmentalizing the football stuff from the nonsense stuff so these feuds carry over and infect the Varsity conversation.

Yeah, this year blows pretty hard all around. We are getting some football though. High school, college and NFL. Saw Georgia Tech pass through Moultrie today on their way to Tallahassee to face FSU. Instead of the normal 4 busses they had a convoy of 8. I suppose to maintain social distancing as best they could on the bus trip.

Pretty certain it was. They didn't stop, flew through on big silver charters with police escort and blocking intersections. Probably doing 65 to 70 right through. I tried to catch them outside of town just to see how fast they were going but I would have had to speed more than I wanted to pay a ticket for to catch up after I got blocked at an intersection for them to pass. Had big GT signs in the front windows of the busses.
