Teddy Gallagher (Carolina Panthers LB) becomes the third member of the Loyola Cubs’ 2015 squad to enter the NFL ranks, joining Myles Bryant (New England Patriots DB) and David Long Jr. (Los Angeles Rams DB).

Jackson Sirmon (CAL Golden Bears LB) will be the fourth 2015 Loyola Cub teammate to join the NFL after graduation.

Extremely impressive feat by the Cubbies.

The way you trash Servite one might think MD is pulling Admins from the bottom of the barrel.

Nah admin is different from sports results. The rivalry is about on field competition, not the administration. I expect them to do well at MD. Who wouldn’t want to take a step up and work at MD from other TL schools. Just in the past few years MD has sent admins and our Ad to go work for Apple, take over the job as the Vice President of the NHL AZ Coyotes and another former admin is now chief of staff for the coyotes as well. Good career move for these guys. Much respect to servite for sending their best over to big brother.

Wonder how much SJ Bosco got for 1st place? They beat the Friars 40-8 in the finals.

Mater Dei was supposed to be in this tournament also...haven't heard how they did.

Who the hell beat mater dei and what was the score backups or not they are loaded

It’s passing league. Doesn’t not matter even in the slightest. Last year MD was the best team in the country and they lost in the quarter finals of the Edison battle at the beach passing league tournament to a Santa Margarita team they beat in real football a few months later by 53 points.

Agree I think it's stupid playing 7v7 this late but we have padded spring football in Vegas now but I always think playing 7v7 in May is crazy but Bosco beat Servite by 30 so wondering did Servite beat MD by 30 because this is a down Servite program compared to year's pass

Servite beat Mater Dei 16-15 in the semis, and Nick is right...it means little. Last year Santa Margarita not only beat Mater Dei in passing league, but they also beat Servite...only to lose to Mater Dei by 53 pts., and to Servite twice in real football by 27 pts. and by 31 pts.

Corona Centennial has always had an average 7 on 7 team. So there's that. And I doubt DLS's passing league teams ever light up the scoreboard. Do they even have one?

CC offense is run first. They audible depending on the defensive formation to a run/pass from the same formation.  That's what makes CCs offense so tough to defend. As long as they're not overwhelmed upfront, it's tough to stop them

Yes DLS has a passing team. They're decent.

Regarding this topic, the reason MD and SJB are among the best teams in the country isn't necessarily because of their skill players. It's their lines. Very few teams can compete with all those enormous D1 linemen. It's really that simple.
