So you're saying there are zero transfers in tejas?

No it happens just not to the extent that I see from other teams. I know Duncanville has gotten a few. North Shore I don't really hear nothing about. Katy gets a few over the years. Can promise you no Texas team has gotten 5+ FBS transfers in 1 season. Probably not even 3+.

40 players already

And a Dad from Marietta whose kid they’ve recruited heavily said “only” 12 of them are reclassified kids so far.

That’s hilarious. He tried to justify it by saying those kids have nowhere to go. I said, “You mean besides JUCO like thousand of others do annually?”

Pure comedy the “these guys do it for the kids” routine. WRONG! Once you’re collecting a paycheck you’re doing it for YOU, not the kids. Unless these boys are doing all of this pro bono it isn't for the kids.

So is the math we've been seeing on here incorrect? 7 or 8% of the student body are reclass adults?

I may not be the smartest man, but, 12 of 40 seems closer to 25% than 7 or 8%.

Being in college is one thing, but the fact that these kids are being persuaded to do a 5th year of "high school" is out of this world. Is USA still recruiting any marietta players?

Now what’s the difference between doing a post graduate year compared to reclassify and re do Sr year

I’m in retirement because some people on here want my kids to think being a chick with a dick is okay.

OMG!!!

That’s  not what it’s about and you damn well know it.

But hey you sleep well dontcha?

LOL

BGW

Besides, there is no such thing as a chick with a dick, it's a dude with tits. Y'all letting that porn you watch melt your brains down to the sales pitch.

Similar to the "only 7% of the USA Academy roster is adults" sales pitch we've been getting. Dishonest marketing.

Yes there are a few.

sadder still is people lauding these kids taking a HS victory lap. I’m sure there are some “redshirt” Seniors they’re trying to loophole into getting another HS year.

If the kid is not ready to be immersed in the culture at a D1 how is this year at USA going to do that? Why is a recruiter taking a guy that needs 5 years of hs to get things right whether it be grades or to mature instead of the guy that goes to a JUCO? The real prospects don't want to waste their time playing another year of high school football because they aren't being challenged, don't wan't that free pass. Just my opinion. Think this whole 5th year thing is great for USA for all of the obvious reasons but not so great for the player. At MD in the past couple of years there's been two 5 star players Devin Askew (Basketball) & Jt Daniels reclassify to the year ahead of them so they can get to college and compete earlier. I know this happens at many other schools too. I wonder what those kids have to say about another athlete staying for a 5th year of HS.

It's primarily because they are sought after athletes.

The recruiters were after these men before, but then learned they weren't making the clearing house, but, would still snap them up if they find a way to make the grade.

It's not that they're not ready athletically. The recruiters just need to see the scores on paper be right. I'm sure that'll happen there one way or the other. We already hear tales of a kid that couldn't make the grade before hitting straight As in the first month of the school's existence in that Coosada Senior Center.

Look. I don’t hold it against them. They’re doing what they have to do to field a competitive product.

just don’t wanna year the “for the kids” bullshit because that’s what it is. Acting like they’re providing this opportunity for these kids is a joke.
