I know of Edison in Fresno, good baseball teams during my playing time, and Edison of SoCal. Never heard of one in Stockton.

I watched the 1st half of the Game on my phone while my wife and I were waiting to go to the movies, and Edison looked like a Pretty Good Team.... They had some size on the lines and good speed, they have a RB who was really impressive.... At least that was my take watching it on my phone... :)

My take on the game.

Edison was better than I expected. Very big lines and some good athletes. Their RB Raleek Brown (class of 22) is ranked as the number 1 back in California for his class. They played their hearts out.

Folsom was missing some guys but my problem with them is their discipline. They had 4 turnovers to Edison’s 0. They’ve turned the ball over all season... they had 6 turnovers against freaking Rocklin. I actually think their offense this year is just as good as last season but their defense isn’t close. If they play their A game (no turnovers) I can see them winning state again in shootouts But if they play as careless as last night and a few other games this season they’re not going to make it to the bowl game.

D3 Final

CDM is very good. It’s too bad they didn’t have one of the ‘big boys’ scheduled this year. They may not have won but I would like to see how they would have fared instead of seeing them dismantle a totally overmatched opponent every week. I hope they get to represent SoCal versus Folsom because they are better than whoever wins D2 IMO.

Hopefully we get to find out.  If Helix didn’t lose their stud running back, no way CDM beats them.  CDM still has to get by Grace Brethren, and Helix is not guaranteed to win either.  If they do get to meet for chance to go to the D1AA bowl I put it at 50-50 but would pick Helix because they have more experience on the bigger stage.

The D3 bracket is more competitive and interesting than D2 IMO. Both semifinal games are good ones with CDM/Alemany and Grace/La Habra.

Agreed.  If you merged both brackets the way they stand now and made an eight team bracket, the finalists might both come from the D3 bracket.

Centennial (9-2) advanced to the section semifinals for the 13th consecutive season and will host St. John Bosco (10-1). It will be the 6th time in 7 seasons those teams meet in the playoffs, but the first game to be played on Centennial’s turf. #Cen10

thats fair I guess

After 5 consecutive years of losing the coin toss, I had given up on it and was expecting a shit ride down the 405 from San Clemente to Bellflower after work.
