Bishop Diego is a good team. I'm surprised El Modena kept it this close.

even though El Modena went undefeated in the regular season, i figure Bishop Diego was more battle tested, they played tougher competition, anyway, El Modena last won a CIF Section title, recently they did in 2017, and it was their first time since 1984. El Modena is the alma mater of legendary MD offensive coordinator, QB coach, Dave Money, which i don't think he is with MD anymore.

Is feisty a code word for blowout?  I wouldn’t read too much into MV’s victory over Cen10.  The Huskies picked the wrong night to lay an egg and MV did what they needed to do to win.  Logan passed on a short field goal to tie the game and I heard a lot of fans moaning.
MV will put up a fight for about a quarter and then SJB will roll from there.

😡 such a Logan move.

Did you watch El Modena's game vs Pasadena? A lot of competitive playoff games.

El Modena has probably the best OC in the state. He's done a great job with that program.

ya, they were a disaster quite sometime, and i also recall, a long-time former Servite assistant coach, who's alma mater is also Servite, later became the head coach at El Modena and is now the athletic director there, Ed Drzanek, he was an assistant coach at Servite when Ryan Kalil and Matthew Slater were there, and later Chris Galippo, DJ Shoemate.

The SS voter did a good job of keeping their teams in separate divisions.  The CCS voter continues to demonstrate either a comical lack of understanding of football outside of the section or a sheer lack of backbone in defending their teams (or both).

The CS always makes it difficult to place teams. For example Liberty and Lemoore were in the South last year and this year in the north

Do I need to explain the difference between the Central Coast Section and the Central Section?

Don’t be an ass Cal I’m just pointing out the difficulties for the other sections if they are going to keep moving the CS teams to north or south on any given year

Not being an ass.  I bring up the CCS and you respond with the CS.  The CS has nothing to do with the CCS.

Two CCS teams were placed in a lower division than an NCS team they would both clobber.  Year after year, at least a couple CCS teams get the shaft because the voter doesn't defend them.

The SJS, NCS, and CCS all ended up with intra-sectional regionals, while the SS gets to potentially advance all of their teams.  The SS voter clearly did a better job.

Maybe the voter wants to guarantee a CCS advance if they are in a lower division than they should be.Or maybe the voter got overruled by the other voters.Who knows what politics enter into a placement playoff

I'll be there for the Open. Anyone know when tix are on sale?

I’m sure you’ll be on the SoCal side.  I’ll be looking on from the NorCal side.

The gf is surprisingly coming on Friday, but I’m solo on Saturday.

Just checked on tix and they’re still not out yet.
